Hi Reader-

This isn't my usual email but I often get asked for recommendations of my favorite items so I walked around my kitchen and took some pics of things I use daily (or nearly daily).

Air Fryer

From baked potatoes to quesadillas, I use my air fryer even more than my microwave!

Slow Cooker

So I don't use it daily, but I use it often. This slow cooker has served me well for years. I love that it switches itself to WARM after the set cook time. Read my full review here.

Measuring Spoons

They're magnetic, color coded, and double sided so they stay tidy in the drawer & I know which one I'm reaching for when I'm making cookies.

Cutting Board

I want to move away from plastic cutting boards, but I do really love this one - it's a "chop & scoop".

Veggie Chopper

Many brands make these veggie choppers but I've had the best luck with Mueller. I use it all the time, it's great for homemade pico.

Souper Cubes

These silicone freezer trays make freezing extra portions (or homemade stock) really easy. Once frozen, pop them out into freezer bags.

Tea Strainer

I make loose leaf tea just about daily & this tea strainer works way better than any ball I've tried. My favorite is Hibiscus (use code: MELISSA for a discount!)

Pickle Fork

You might think it's silly, but with as many pickles as we eat, it's handy to have a fork attached right to the jar. No grubby fingers in the jar lol

Toaster

My kids generally want toaster waffles for breakfast & this 4-slice toaster makes them perfectly. (don't forget to check the extra coupon box!)

My Water Cup

If it's not in my hand, it's close by. This water cup locks so when my kids inevitably knock it over, it spills less. It also keeps my water cold for HOURS. They come in a ton of colors. I prefer the 24 ounce.

Spatulas

I have a slight spatula hoarding problem. My favorite are the silicone, one piece for easy cleaning & they're sturdy (not floppy).

Do you have any favorites that I need to check out?

Hi Reader, Mother's Day is one of those holidays that hits differently depending on the year. Some people are celebrating, some are missing their mom, some have complicated feelings about the whole day. Whatever this Sunday looks like for you, I hope there's something easy on the table. My Midwest might be showing, but I love a good casserole. They can feed you for three days, they don't need much once they're in the oven (or crockpot), and they almost always taste better the next day. 8...

Hi Reader- While I was in North Carolina, I got a delivery of some of my favorite frozen potatoes. We like to have fries as a side dish but I don't always feel like making them from scratch. It's hard to an organic option (made with avocado oil & not seed oils), so I was excited to find Roots! I originally got their sweet potato fries and "toast" (they're like slabs of potato & so good - perfect with a fried egg!) but now they have all kinds of wedges, tots, & fries. They can be a little...
